Invitations...

.... are ordered!

After several proofs...
& a week of address formatting...
They will be here in 10 days!!

Then we get to put them together.
I have a feeling this will be a time of true bonding between Matthew and I...

& then my girlfriends and I will probably do the last 100 after Matthew gets sick of them :)

or they'll do the last 100 when I can't handle it anymore!

Bottom Line: I can't wait to have them done and in the mail!

Next Projects: Escort Cards, Deciding on final cake design, and accessories for me.

80 DAYS and counting!!!

110 days!

Almost down to double digits!

Here is an update:

1. Tuxes have been picked- The guys simply need to be sized. It's incredible to me how simple men's wear is. We walked in. We picked a tux. We picked 2 vest colors (groomsmen and dads). We picked a shirt style. Then we chose the style for the cufflinks etc. They measured Matthew and DONE. 30 minutes later we walked out with a complete order. Amazing.

2. The menu is in the works and we are both SO excited about it!!

3. We are cake tasting in May and Matthew can't wait. I'm pretty sure he has been looking forward to cake tasting since the day he asked me to marry him. He even threatened to not come to the wedding if he didn't get to do the cake tasting. No worries- the tasting is scheduled and Matthew will be there!

4. We picked invitations! The whole ordeal only took 2.5 hours and we were completely done. I was incredibly impressed at how efficient we are getting at decision making. We browse, we narrow, we pick and we get down to the details. I am so excited about them and I think they are going to be perfect! We also found an amazing person to work with- Jennifer brown with For Now and Forever Invites in Milwaukee. She is so helpful, yet absolutely pressure-free. She made the entire process fun and painless and we could not have asked for a better experience!

5. One pair of my shoes are ordered. Still working on the other one. Also working on some other small accessories.

6. Bachelorette Party and Bachelor Party are in the works as well as one more Bridal Shower!

7. We are getting down to the details of the wedding and I am loving it! I am working on ideas for escort cards, guest book, and small personal touches.

110 days! We can't wait to share our Big Day with all of our loved ones!

Snow day!

Today is a snow day. For both of us.

Matthew is holed up in the office working from home. I am spread out in the kitchen studying for boards.

We are just so much fun this month! With busy season and boards, snow days aren't as exciting as they were when we were kids!

Maybe one of us will convince the other to go sledding in the huge mounds of snow that are currently keeping us from going anywhere....

*fingers crossed*

I just LOVE the 13th!!!

7 months!
We will be husband and wife in just 7 little months.
211 days, 19 hours, 29 minutes and 11 seconds actually.

I try and tell myself that 7 months is still a lot of time. But in reality, compared to the 17 months we have already waited, 7 months is pish posh.

I am currently focusing my energy on flowers and invitations, when I am not studying for boards that is. Which means I have done little to nothing for flowers or invitations. Whoopsies.
But come this time next month I will be almost done with Boards, and getting ready to kick it into wedding gear all the time!
I. Can't. Wait.
That's the beautiful thing about planning a wedding in dental school- the wedding is nothing but fun and stress free because everything else [read: BOARDS] is somewhat stressful.
I know there are things I need to get done, but I'm not overwhelmed or stressed by them.
I can't wait for the day my mom calls and asks "What are you doing?" and I can say anything other than "Studying for boards." haha.
I also can't wait for the end of this lovely [read: not so lovely] thing that people in the accounting world call busy season. I kinda miss my fiance.
It's coming. & so is the big day!

The Little Things...

... Always seem to make me super excited.

Today, we registered for the WARRIOR DASH. It's a race with obstacles and mud and such. Some running, some climbing over walls, through tunnels, etc. We are familiar with such things after Muddy Buddy last year. We can handle Warrior Dash.

But it wasn't the race that got me all excited today.

The race is September 17th, 2011....
Which means we will be married....
Which means I had to register as a Warnken!!!

So, Warrior Dash 2011, here comes Team Warnken. For Real.
